Tech Center plays an active role to grow together with customers by providing technical training on knowledge of plastics, material properties and selection, fabrication processes, defect troubleshooting, quality and productivity improvement, laboratory equipment testing and handling through training courses conducted at customer's place or Tech Center’s laboratories and machine shop. Since inception, more than 5000 employees from our downstream in the plastics industry benefited from our training programs

Besides providing in-house training for customers, Tech Center also actively contributes to the Malaysia Petrochemicals Association – Plastics Resin Producers Group (MPMA-PRPG) seminar and training activities. Among the activities are collaboration with other plastic associations, public education on the benefits and safe use of plastics, industry networking events, sharing session for university students, and collaboration with local authorities on educational initiatives and activities. Through the effort of Malaysian Plastic Forum (MPA), a group formed by MPA-PRPG in collaboration with MPMA, Tech Center participated in the public dialogue with the state governments to highlight the myths and misconceptions of plastic bags, promoting the concept of 3Rs (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle) and also conducting seminars to clear the misconceptions on the environmental pollution by the plastics and to disseminate on the safe use of plastics for the food contact applications to the authorities, government agencies, non-government organizations, schools, etc.

Tech Center also participates in the development of Malaysian Standards (MS) through its involvement in the National Standards Committee on Plastics and Plastics Products (NSC 10), various Technical Committees (TC), and Working Groups (WG). These participations enable Tech Center to contribute its technical expertise and industry experience towards establishing and improving standards that ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with international requirements to support the growth and competitiveness of Malaysia’s plastics industry.

The Tech Center collaborates with the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) in the area of Molecular Weight analysis. This collaboration supports the Tech Center’s capabilities in polymer characterization through the use of its analytical facilities and technical expertise.
