Title

Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) for Extrusion Coating

Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) for Extrusion Coating
Summary
LDC800YY and LDC801YY are specially designed to cater for low density polyethylene extrusion coating. Both grades are barefoot grades and they are the first LDPE coating grades to be successfully produced using ExxonMobil’s tubular process technology, directly replacing the autoclave coating grade. They have gained wide interest and acceptance from plastic product manufacturers not only locally in Malaysia but also throughout the whole South East Asia region. LDC800YY and LDC801YY show very good balance between neck-in and drawdown. Besides, these two grades also portray a combination of outstanding properties such as excellent heat seal ability and adhesion properties and high coating process speed. Hence, they are suitable to be used as coating for all substrates including food packaging, paper coating etc. as well as lamination because of the adhesion property they possess.
