LOTTE Chemical Titan (LCT) proudly sponsored the 2026 Pasir Gudang Schools Athletics Championship (MSSD), reaffirming our commitment to supporting young people, promoting healthy lifestyles, and creating value for the communities where we operate.
Held at the Johor Athletics Stadium, the championship took place over five days of competition from 14 to 17 July 2026, culminating in the closing ceremony on 20 July 2026. The event brought together 114 primary and secondary schools from the Pasir Gudang district, with the participation of approximately 3,700 student athletes and 750 teachers and officials, making it one of the district's largest annual school sporting events.
Throughout the championship, LCT was represented by 66 employee volunteers, led by Tuan Haji Othman Bin Md Salleh, Vice President, Safety & Security, Environment and Plant Government Affairs, reflecting the Company's strong culture of volunteerism and community partnership.
As the championship's principal sponsor, LCT was honoured to have Tuan Haji Othman Bin Md Salleh officiate both the opening and closing ceremonies. In his address, he expressed his appreciation to the organisers, educators, parents, volunteers, and student athletes for their dedication, collaboration, and commitment in making the championship a resounding success.
Complementing the sporting event, LCT organised an Environmental Awareness Roadshow to engage students, teachers, and visitors through interactive educational activities, sustainability-themed quizzes, and token giveaways. The programme was designed to encourage environmental stewardship while raising awareness of sustainable practices through fun and experiential learning.
The championship concluded with inspiring performances from participating athletes, demonstrating the determination, resilience, and sportsmanship of the students. More importantly, the event underscored the value of providing inclusive opportunities that enable every young person to discover their potential, build confidence, and pursue excellence.
As a responsible corporate citizen, LCT continues to invest in initiatives that strengthen education, youth development, environmental awareness, and community well-being.
